Victor Hugo'nun 1862 yılında yazdığı roman olan Sefiller (Les Misérables), 1980 yılında Fransız besteci Claude-Michel Schönberg tarafından bestelenmiştir. 2012'de 27. yıldönümü kutlanan bu başarılı Broadway uygulaması sinemaya aktarıldı ve Yardımcı Kadın Oyuncu, Makyaj ve Ses Miksajı kategorilerinde 3 Oscar ödülü aldı.
Sefiller'in final sahnesi barikatlarla dolu bir şehirde dalgalanan bayraklarla bitiyor. Muzikalin 10. yılında 250 kişilik Korosu'nun söylediği final şarkısı bu çağrıya kulak verenler için..
